Sleeping with a porn star would be an intimidating prospect for most men.

But events planner Mike Adkins, 32, insists he didn't feel nervous the first time he spent the night with girlfriend Allie Haze, 30, who has starred in more than 350 adult films.

The couple started dating after they were introduced by a mutual friend four years ago and now live together with their three dogs in Las Vegas, Nevada, the Daily Mail reports.

Opening up about his relationship, Mike claimed he doesn't get jealous when Allie has sex with other men - but admitted he was nervous when he had to tell his mother what his girlfriend did for a living.

Mike said: "It doesn't bother me that she's with other men as far as work. If it was something where she was just like, 'I'm going out Friday night, going to hook up with some people', that would 100 per cent bother me.

"There are times that she has been offered to do certain movies or whatever and I am just not very comfortable.

"I mean, yeah, it's a different job than being a receptionist or something, but at the end of the day you can't base a relationship around each other's career."

While Mike doesn't watch any of Allie's films, he said he does see the benefits of her experience in the bedroom.

"She is definitely the most adventurous of partners I've ever had," he said.

Allie has worked in the industry for eight years and has starred in hundreds of films, including Star Wars XXX: A Porn Parody where she plays a sexually adventurous Princess Leia. She has also won multiple industry awards for her work.

Mike was unaware of Allie's career when they first met and while he was shocked when he found out what she did, he admits he also thought it was 'pretty cool'.

Mike has never been on set with Allie and while he caught glimpses of her videos in the early stages of their relationship, he soon stopped watching them when it became more serious.

He said: "I don't watch her videos. Nothing against them, I've just got her right beside me so I don't feel the need to."

Allie said that "the sex life is good" but that they don't have "giant orgies in their bedroom", as people sometimes assume.

The couple avoid discussing Allie's work in detail, although she does sometimes use her jobs to seduce her boyfriend in the bedroom.

Allie continued: "Definitely before I leave, Mike is always like, 'What are you working on today?' and I'm like, 'Oh, boy-girl, girl-girl'.

"When I come home from work, we don't necessarily talk about the day. But it depends too, like as a woman and as a spouse, I know what would turn him on.

"So yeah, maybe I come home and tell him stories to my advantage to get some, sometimes. Depends on what the scene is. I know what he likes to hear about."

Mike admits he was nervous when he had to tell his mother about Allie's profession – not knowing how she would respond.

He said: "I called my mom and I left her a message and said, 'Hey, I've actually been dating this girl and I've got to tell you something'.

"My mom called me back and I was like, 'Yeah she's a porn star' and my mom said, 'Oh my God! Thank God! I thought you were going to tell me she was pregnant'."

Allie, who is tested for STIs every two weeks, said many of her co-stars are also married.

She added: "I love my job. I'm very, very lucky and super blessed to have a career that I love going to."

Allie has always preferred to date people outside of the porn industry, confessing that most of the public are unaware of her story and how she was in fact married to a preacher in her past.

"As far as other guys that I've dated in the past, I've had an interesting run of men to say the least," she said.

"I've always dated outside the business. I've always dated 'civilians', but definitely the other ones had interesting life choices.

"Mike is definitely more grounded. I love Mike so much, I can't even express how I feel about him. I am one crazy person. I am a lot to handle and I'm very grateful to have him by my side."

Mike added: "I love Allie very much, to the moon and back."
