Actress Brittany Murphy was star-struck at the British premiere of film-noir thriller Sin City - by Madonna.
The queen of pop arrived for the screening in London's Leicester Square with her husband, British film-maker Guy Ritchie.
"She's my idol," said Murphy. "If I meet her at the party I willshyly and meekly shake her hand."
Adapted from Frank Miller's novel about a wicked metropolis, Sin City has been praised for its dark, computer-generated imagery and criticised for is nonstop violence.
