A British mother claims she lost 2.8 litres of blood after an accident on a "Kamikaze" water slide on holiday in Tenerife tore her uterus.
Toni Steedman, 25, of Clackmannan, Scotland, was on holiday with her husband Adam, 32, in Tenerife when they decided to go to a water park.
As she prepared to shoot down the freefall "Kamikaze" slide she claims lifeguards didn't warn her about folding her arms or crossing her legs, the Daily Mail reports.
Reaching the bottom she said she felt as if she needed the toilet, but was horrified to find blood pouring down her legs.
The mother-of-two said she was rushed to hospital where she had to have three blood transfusions and claimed she nearly died.
Steedman told he Sun: "The slide was really fast and when I hit the water at the bottom I felt something just burst inside me.
"When I stood up I felt as though I needed the toilet but as I moved blood started pouring from between my legs. It was making a trail as I walked from the pool."
The 25-year-old took her husband on holiday with their two children to celebrate his birthday in May 2017, but things took a grim turn and family had to fly out to be by her bedside.
The couple had bought the excursion to the popular Aqualand water park in Costa Adeje the day before the accident.

She was later taken to a bigger hospital in the north of the island where she had surgery to repair the uterus tear caused by the huge gush of water.
Steedman spent three days in hospital and flew home five days later. She had to take eight weeks off work to recover.
She was unable to get any compensation because she did not inform her insurance company of the holiday before jetting off.
The mother-of-two is relieved she can still have more children but is furious she had to go through such a painful experience.
Her story comes after another British tourist broke his neck on a similar ride in Benidorm.
David Briffaut, 23, of Essex faces being paralysed after breaking two vertebrae in his neck and suffering a spinal cord injury on the "Splash" slide at Aqualandia after going down headfirst riding a mat.
More than 300 people have left bad reviews of the water park - which costs £100 ($185) for a family of four or £23 for an adult - on TripAdvisor, including some who said they were also injured by rides.

Briffaut was pulled semi-conscious from the water and taken to hospital in Alicante, where he remains on a life support machine. His parents Lorraine and Stephane are by his side.
The moment before the accident was caught on camera and showed Briffaut enjoying himself with girlfriend Penny Bristow.
TripAdvisor user Joe Pollard, 25, wrote a scathing review in May alongside a picture of a cut to his face.
He wrote: "I went on a slide and it ripped my face off - I looked like something out of a horror movie with blood running down my face and naked torso.
"I was in an area with at least 10 life guards and not one of them came over to check I was okay. Disgraceful."
