A shopping spree at Harry Winston for the jewellery worn by Kidman on the red carpet will set you back more than $9 million. This buys you seven-carat emerald-cut stud earrings, an 82-carat "caftan diamond" bracelet and two diamond platinum-set rings.

2. Rita Ora

Over $9.5 million worth of jewels were worn by Ora to complement her Marchesa gown. The Lorraine Schwartz pieces included 40-carat pear-shaped chandelier earrings and a 25-carat pear-shaped ring.

1. Cate Blanchett
The stunning turquoise, aquamarine and diamond bib necklace is so pricey, its maker, Tiffany and Co. will only reveal the price upon request. With that many stones, it's sure to have a lot of zeros in its price tag.
