Sources close to the family said it was too early to talk about the pair reuniting but the family were having a great time after a rough couple of months.
Parenting Place writer and researcher John Cowan said it was important for parents to "bury the hatchet" and co-operate on all aspects of parenting together even in separation.
"I think parents who co-operate respectfully with concern and continuing love for their kids display a maturity in their approach," he said.
Cowan said children fared worse when they were used as weapons of animosity.
Dotcom recently won a reprieve from the Immigration Service when his four nannies, who were issued with deportation orders, had their work visas extended for a year.
He is also enjoying the prospect of having a voice in Parliament after striking a deal with Hone Harawira's Mana Party to join with his fledgling protest Internet Party.
