Meghan Markle's wardrobe for the royal tour cost an insane amount

Like Princess Diana before her, Meghan Markle is making a name for herself as a style icon . . . and it doesn't come cheap.

The Duchess' wardrobe for the royal tour of Australia and the Pacific consisted of 41 different outfits and 114 items of clothing and accessories. It's estimated to be worth a whopping $231,725.

And before we all get hot-headed and presume that she gets her clothes for free like other famous people, the royal family has a policy of paying for all their outfits.

We can just imagine Queen Elizabeth's eye's widening as she receives the bill.

The most valuable part of her wardrobe is her impressive jewellery collection. She wore $133,608 worth of jewellery on this tour and that doesn't include the jewellery she was gifted from Princess Diana's collection (including the aquamarine ring and butterfly earrings/necklace she wore in Sydney).
