Famed for her big round eyes and anime character looks, Wei Han Xu - also known as Weiwei, or Haitun (dolphin in Chinese) - hasattracted fans from all over the world.
She has worked in a McDonald's in the Taiwanese city of Taipei for the last five years, but the hysteria around her is a recent phenomenon.
Weiwei rocketed to fame after a blogger posted pictures of her, which RocketNews24 reported started a frenzy as users on local forums attempted to find out which McDonald's outlet the "goddess" worked at.
The doll-like beauty has since appeared on several Taiwanese variety programs and also works as a model. She appears to embrace her fame and runs a Facebook page about herself with over 80,000 fans.
Her fame follows that of several other attractive local vendors. In June, it was reported that Taiwanese women were going berserk for a handsome, muscular bean curd seller named Yi Tin Chen.
This was followed later in the month by a "Pork Princess", Zhang Caijie, famed for her great beauty and expertise with pork knuckles. A hunky fruit seller, Wang Xianghong, was also revered by shoppers attracted by his six-pack.
