A popular food blogger, Hirasaka Hiroshi of 'Monsters Pro Shop', heard about large catfish living in a dirty Hong Kong river and decided to land one.
After days of waiting he got his main prize, a stinky and rather ugly 110cm catfish. He took the beast back tohis hotel to prepare meals and declared it the worst fish he'd ever eaten.

It took Hiroshi a few attempts to catch one of the giant catfish, with the final battle taking five minutes and attracting a crowd and applause.
However, the fish was no great prize. After taking it back to his hotel and cutting it open, he discovered it's digestive track filled with black mud which stank of drain water.

No method of cooking could hide the taste, with Hiroshi finally declaring it "the most terrible and stinking fish [he] had ever eaten".
"I can clearly say it was bad. Super bad. The worst fish that I've eaten until now. I mean, the smell."
Even washing the fish, soaking it in milk, washing it again, rinsing it with sake, washing it again and soaking it in more alcohol in order to "kill the taste" and "turn it into a protein mass" did not work.

Finally, after finishing the fish, he said "the condition of the gastrointestinal system was extremely bad".
