BREAKFAST:
The sun comes up early here, and so do the locals. The walkway along Mooloolaba beachfront is thronging with walkers and runners by 7am, so do as they do and head out for some early morning exercise. Then pop into Ocean Shepherd, an espresso bar and cafe where profitsgo to support the work of conservation group Sea Shepherd. Try a macadamia milk latte or a green smoothie with a DIY bagel, and pick up a vegan pie for later munching.

DRINK WITH A VIEW:
Sitting in a prime position overlooking Mooloolaba marina, Pier 33 is the perfect spot to head at sunset for an Aperol spritz in the last of the sunshine. The former yacht club has been transformed into a breezy Hamptons-style bar and restaurant serving modern Australian food with a heavy focus on very local seafood – most of what's on the menu comes from the waters you can see. If you feel like staying for dinner, don't miss the tuna sashimi with miso dressing and black garlic.

CRAFT BREW:
Locals love the taps at The Dock, a stylish pub in the newly-revamped Wharf precinct. There are 52 taps featuring 16 mostly local brews, and monthly "tap takeovers" where local brewers showcase their latest creations. Try a Brouhaha Rhubarb and Strawberry Sour paired with an "MP": Moolooaba prawn burger or a plate of jalapeno poppers.

AFTER DINNER TREAT:
Wander along The Wharf and you'll find Fior di Latte gelateria, where alongside classic gelato flavours are their unique creations; think Coco Pop and Fairy Bread. If a cocktail is more your speed, pop into Boston Shaker, a grown-up speakeasy-style cocktail bar. Try a classic cocktail, or let the friendly bartenders create something bespoke and boozy just for you. There's live music from Thursday to Sunday.
