Reese Witherspoon returns as Elle Woods, ditzy blonde who somehow parlays her designer wardrobe and vacant smile into a Harvard law degree (yeah, right). This time she will end up on Capitol Hill, trying to force through a law to outlaw testing of cosmetics
on animals, and thus spring the mother of her beloved chihuahua and fashion accessory, Bruiser. She has the support of Congresswoman
Victoria Rudd (Sally Field) and her staff, like the friendly
doorman, Sid Post (Bob Newhart), and apart from the usual frosty opponent, Grace (Regina King).
There will be impassioned speeches and dance sequences. There will be much flag-waving and a happy ending. Her market segment will adore it.
