Kylie Minogue has dismissed any suggestion that images taken for her latest calendar campaign have been altered with Photoshop.

The Australian singer came under fire after sharing a racy snap from her official 2018 calendar with Instagram followers on Thursday afternoon.

A post shared by Kylie Minogue (@kylieminogue) on Oct 4, 2017 at 9:34am PDT

Taken at iconic Los Angeles hotel Chateau Marmont, the image finds Kylie, 49, showcasing her famously pert bottom in pair of tiny hot-pants while admiring the view of picturesque Beverly Hills from a white stucco balcony, according to Daily Mail.

But eagle-eyed followers were quick to spot bizarre curved lines in the white wall behind her, and called for her to fix the "awful photoshop".

Responding to the criticism later that day, the singer posted a second image from the same shoot with an accompanying caption.

Referring to the Marmont's distinctive architecture, she wrote: "#lovers you have EAGLE eyes!! I'll ask the Chateau Marmont to straighten their walls but it's part of the charm!! However, thanks for being ON IT!"

Fans had previously claimed the curved lines in the shadow of the wall behind her were evidence of Photoshopping.

"Kylie, the cover's awful photoshop shows :/ please fix that," one wrote, while another added: "Why is the wall curved?"

"Hey Kylie! You look great and sexy! But what is wrong with the chair and the wall behind you?" a third penned.

MailOnline has contacted Kylie's representative and the calendar's publisher for comment.

Many of her "lovers" were full of praise for the calendar shot, however, dubbing her a 'goddess' and gushing that she looked "beautiful".

Minogue became known for her pert behind after starring in her 2000 pop tune Spinning Around, which saw her dancing in a pair of now iconic gold hotpants.

Kylie Minogue reveals 'nervous breakdown'

The superstar has since talked about her bottom becoming a talking point, revealing self-deprecatingly that she never shows off her bum in "anything but the best light".

"The bottom is doing very nicely, thank you," she told Event magazine in 2015.

"It is its own entity. I think of it as something entirely separate to me. Probably the reason for it is the fact I've spent most of my adult life dancing around in very high heels."

Kylie, who has previously been voted the "Best Butt In The UK", added: "If I'm ever honestly asked to explain my job I'd say I was a high-heel stunt woman.

"High heels are very bad for the back but they are great for the thighs and the butt. And then the other secret is great lighting.

"You'll never see my bottom in anything other than the best light. I always make sure I am best friends with the lighting man on any shoot I do. A good light makes a hell of a lot of difference."

The star has bounced back since her split from actor Joshua, 29, who she had called "The One".

The couple met in 2015, on the set of US TV show Galavant and, months later in February 2016, they publicly announced their engagement.

But a year later Kylie announced their fairytale was over when she confirmed on social media they had gone their separate ways.

Alongside a picture of a beautiful sunrise, Kylie wrote: "#lovers ... Thank you for all your love and support throughout this recent chapter of my life.

"Thank you now for your love and understanding with the news that Josh and I have decided to go our separate ways.

"We wish only the best for each other as we venture towards new horizons. #thesunalwaysrises".
