Kylie Jenner speaks out over large lip craze

Kylie Jenner has spoken out about the online craze that has teens suctioning their lips in shot glasses to mimic her pouty look.

Dubbed the #KylieJennerChallenge, teenagers post photos of themselves with swollen, bruised or bleeding lips in attempts to recreate the youngest Kardashian-Jenner sibling's prized pucker.

But the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star has taken to Twitter to distance herself from the DIY lip-plumping trend.

"I'm not here to try and encourage people/young girls to look like me or to think this is the way they should look," she tweeted.

"I want to encourage people/young girls like me to be YOURSELF and not be afraid to experiment w your look."

Jenner's famous pout has been the topic on everybody's lips lately, but the 17-year-old has repeatedly denied undergoing cosmetic surgery.

"I've never been under the knife," she told Grazia magazine last week.

"People flash back to pictures of me when I was 12 and say, 'Kylie's so different' but how can I look the same from 12 to 18?"

Instead, Jenner credits her much-Instagrammed "pillow lips" look to simple makeup tricks like lip liner.
