A New Zealand woman who hit headlines around the world for marrying her husband on their first date has reportedly been fired after the love story went viral.
Sarah Elliott, 34, married Paul Edwards, 36, on Christmas Day after meeting for the first time at Las Vegas airport in theirwedding outfits.
The pair had matched on dating app Bumble just days earlier, but decided to get hitched after realising they "got on so well".
Despite admitting the idea was "crazy" the UK-based lovebirds booked a chapel in Vegas and tied the knot not long after touching down.
It didn't take long for their unusual romance to go viral, causing an X-rated photo of Sarah to emerge which reportedly led to her being fired from her nanny job, The Sun reports.
However Paul isn't deterred by his wife's racy past, admitting during an appearance on Good Morning Britain that he'd already seen the photo.
"I already knew her likes and dislikes. There wasn't anything we hid from each other. It wasn't a surprise to me," he told the TV hosts.
"We've been completely open about literally everything," Sarah said.
Inspired by Married At First Sight, the pair went the whole hog for their impromptu wedding, with Paul even getting down on one knee at the airport and presenting his bride with an engagement ring.

The newlyweds are now looking forward to married life, confessing they've become "inseparable" since their spur-of-the-moment nuptials.
Dad-of-two Paul has two teenagers from a previous relationship who have recently met their new stepmum and are said to "adore" her.
Meanwhile, Sarah still lives with her ex-husband as they've yet to sell the home they own together.
