A 26-year-old New Zealand woman who shed half her body weight has hit back at trolls who continue to criticise her for her "loose skin" online.

Simone Anderson, the popular health and weight-loss blogger, lost 92kg and has undergone nine hours of surgery to remove excess skin.

In spite of that outstanding effort, Anderson says she deals with online trolls on an almost daily basis.

"If you have had skin removal surgery then why do you still have loose skin?" is the question she says she is asked the most often.

"After losing 92kg it would be near impossible to get a "perfect" stomach even after skin removal surgery.

“If you have had skin removal surgery then why do you still have loose skin” - I received this message and receive countless other ones like it weekly. After losing 92kg it would be near impossible to get a “perfect” stomach even after skin removal surgery. Different angles and different positions make massive changes to your bodies appearance, while sitting slouched most people will get some form of roll going on! There is nothing wrong with this... embrace it. “You must be so unhappy with your body and results seeing you still have skin on your stomach even after surgery” Let’s clear this one up, if you are going into a cosmetic procedure hoping for perfection you are probably doing it for the wrong reasons, I never hoped for perfection, I never aimed for it. There has been a massive improvement and I couldn’t be happier with my results, I love my body and always have! This body is the only body I have so I’m not going to spend a single second hating it.... 😘

"Different angles and different positions make massive changes to your bodies appearance, while sitting slouched most people will get some form of roll going on! There is nothing wrong with this... embrace it," she wrote in an Instagram post last week.

Anderson says she never expected her cosmetic surgery to make her "perfect" and says she "couldn't be happier" with the results.

The Auckland woman has been inspiring people online with her popular social media accounts detailing her weight-loss journey and says it's important to love yourself, regardless of what you see in the mirror.

Note to self: (at any size) 💪🏽 - I deserve love. - I deserve self care. - I deserve respect. - I deserve honesty. - I deserve that best. - I deserve to get noticed. - I deserve to get better. - I didn’t deserve to be hurt, even by myself. Work out gear @shereenanoelle

Saw the coolest Instagram post from the beautiful @scarrednotscared and had to share her words after comments on a post I did last week regarding body positivity. Her words are so spot on! "You aren't body positive if you wear makeup" Sorry, didn't realise you controlled the rule book when it comes to body positivity. Body positivity does not ban you from: - wearing makeup - shaving any part of your body - wearing heels - dying your hair - plucking your eyebrows - any beauty regime you want to take part in Body positive women wear makeup all the time. The difference is that we aren't reliant on wearing it. We don't NEED it to feel beautiful because we know we are inherently beautiful with or without it. We don't use it to hide anything. We don't use it to cover our spots, acne or acne scars. We don't use it to look like someone else. We use it when we want to use it. Body positivity means WE own the rulebook when it comes to our faces and our bodies. Body positivity is about choice. It's saying we should have the choice to wear makeup or not which means the workplace and clubs can not dictate makeup on their dress code. That's what I fight for! A woman's right to choose to not wear makeup. A woman's right to not be shamed into wearing it. You are beautiful both ways. You will see me full breakout in my stories most days, in the gym, going to meetings, living my life... and you will also see me put makeup on. I'm entitled to both. In all honesty, I just came back from getting my eyebrows and upper lip threaded and it hurt so fucking much it made me question if I am REALLY doing it for myself or the patriarchy. That's all body positivity is asking you to do, it's asking you to question what you've come to expect as the norm. It's asking that you question what you view as compulsory beauty rules but... Your body, your choice means just that... YOUR CHOICE. YOUR CHOICE!" Cute top @ellisandfriends
