The GQ Men Of Year Awards returned to London overnight, bringing with it some of the world's most handsome gents of stage, screen and television - not to mention the hottest women.

One of the winners on the night was Jonah Hill, who received the International Man of the Year award from Bradley Cooper.

During his speech, the two-time Oscar nominated actor said: "Emily, my first girlfriend in sixth grade. You broke my heart and left it shattered. It was really sad. I know you're young and love is wild and you grow apart but I'm GQ International Man of the f***ing Year!"

Dan Stevens presented his The Fifth Estate co-star Benedict Cumberbatch with the Actor of the Year award calling him a "b**ch c**t" while on stage about to hand over the award. Clearly the banter sat well with the Sherlock star for Benedict responded by saying "what are friends for?"

Model Jourdan Dunn messed up twice while introducing Sportsman of the Year, Lewis Hamilton, to the stage and treated the audience to two drops of the F bomb.

Her pal Cara Delevingne was just as eloquent by saying "someone told me you're not meant to swear in lace, that's a f***ing lie", when she presented Pharrell Williams with Solo Artist of the Year.

Cara and Jourdan proved their model worth by both opting for sheer black dresses that certainly did well to steal focus from the boys.

Cara's lacy number featured a floral pattern and little else as the British runway star wore just a pair of high-waisted pants underneath, with peep-toe shoe boots on her feet. Jourdan meanwhile didn't seem to be wearing any underwear thanks to her holy full-length gown.

The only woman to be awarded a gong at the event was recently married reality TV star, Kim Kardashian, who was named Woman of the Year by the men's mag. The selfie-snapping beauty stepped out in a well-fitted latex bodysuit with revealing gunmetal skirt. Husband, Kanye West, couldn't keep his hands off her.

Nicole Scherzinger was there to support her British race car driver boyfriend Lewis, though his wet look jacket made it seem like he had been caught in the rain on the way over. Nicole looked gorgeous in a strapless bandage gown.

And leading the dapper show was Scottish actor Gerard Butler, looking like he could be the next James Bond in his immaculate tuxedo, alongside male model David Gandy looking equally smouldering on the red carpet.

Gerard - recently named the new face of Hugo Boss who were sponsoring the event - was there to present the Entrepreneur award to hotelier André Balazs, who owns the Chateau Marmont and the recently opened celebrity hotspot The Chiltern Firehouse.

For Gerard, it seems he isn't ready to show off his new lady who he has been seen spending a lot of time with over the last few weeks.

No doubt that gave him time to converse with the many of the other stylish men and women arriving for the awards show put on by the UK version of the mens' magazine.

Tony Blair was another GQ Award recipient for Philanthropist of the Year, though he became a trending topic on Twitter due to people questioning the decision to award him the title. Many still believe him to a war criminal because of the events surrounding the Iraq War.

Johnny Depp made a special appearance to present Iggy Pop with the Icon award, while singer Sam Smith presented the band New Order with the Inspiration award.

Producer Richard Dodgson said: "The seventeenth annual GQ Men of the Year Awards ran without a hitch. I'd like to offer my congratulations to all of the winners tonight at what was a fantastic evening at the Royal Opera House.

"I'm immensely proud of the work that Timebased have done designing and producing this brilliant, high-profile event. It's been fantastic to see the event grow in stature and impact every year. "
