A lucky pirate is going to find a fabulous treasure of gold coins somewhere in or near this town. To get to it, you have to follow the usual bamboozling clues. I'll give you the first clue tomorrow morning."

"But old Griselda ain't here," said Captain Grab.

"She won't be back for weeks," said his first mate Jingo Jim.

The mayor looked around the room.

"Oh dear! he said. "How sad!" He pretended to mop a tear with a white silk handkerchief. "No bamboozle for poor Captain Griselda."
