Karlie Kloss' speech at Cannes reveals bizarre body-shaming

Supermodel Karlie Kloss has revealed she was told she was too fat and too skinny all on the same day and that the fashion industry is to blame.

Speaking at a conference at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, Kloss confessed that she came under attack from casting agents: "I was called both too fat and too thin by a casting agent on the same day."

She added that she wishes clothing designers would create garments for a wider variety of body shapes.

The model received a standing ovation when she revealed that she survived in the tough industry by focusing on her strength and health instead of the number on the scales: "I don't want to please anyone but myself."

As well as her positive body messages, Kloss also talked about her coding camp for young women, "Kode with Klossy", which is currently running in 15 camps across 10 different cities in the US.

While she describes her career as a top model as a privilege, she confessed, "at my core I am a total nerd. I love understanding how things work."

She also admitted that while computer science may not be the sexiest career in the world, it was still her genuine passion.
