Karen Walker's Swanndri brand unveiled today

A star of New Zealand fashion has joined forces with an iconic kiwi clothing brand and the results are being unveiled in Wellington today.

Swanndri by Karen Walker will be introduced at the opening of Swanndri's first Concept Store in Hunter Street.

Ms Walker says she has always loved brands like Swanndri which have a heritage value in this country.

She says her range of knitwear, coats and jackets is based around what the urban family does at the weekend, including beach walks or attending sports with the kids.

Ms Walker has also used the classic Swanndri bush shirt flannel check in a luggage collection.
