Jolie nervous at first meeting with principal

Hollywood star Angelina Jolie was nervous at the prospect of meeting staff at her adopted son's English nursery school.

"I remembered being sent to the principal's office [as a child], so the idea made me nervous," the 29-year-old star said.

The actress, who lives in an eight-bedroom converted farmhouse in Buckinghamshire, said that Maddox's choice of jewellery was discussed at the meeting.

"He had a helicopter necklace but that's not OK in England."

She adopted the boy, now a Mohican-sporting three-year-old known as Mad, from a Cambodian orphanage in 2002.
