JK Rowling has sparked excitement among Harry Potter fans by posting a cryptic tweet.
The author informed her millions of followers that she was "very busy" at work on a novel, a screenplay and campaigns for her children's charity Lumos.
Very busy at the moment working on a novel, tweaking a screenplay and being involved in @lumos campaigns. Back when I've finished something!
One fan, Regan, replied saying that everytime Rowling tweets shehas to "stop whatever [she is] doing and analyse it for an hour".
Roughly 14 hours later, Rowling responded to Regan admitting that she was "tempted to post a riddle or an anagram" but should "resist temptation and work".
But when Rowling gave into temptation and posted a bizarre message reading "Cry, foe! Run amok! Fa awry! My wand won't tolerate this nonsense", wild speculation begun.
.@peruseproject See, now I'm tempted to post a riddle or an anagram. Must resist temptation... must work...
Many fans reckon that the riddle refers to Rowling's screenplay for upcoming Harry Potter spinoff movie Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
More dedicated analysts on Reddit soon discovered that "New York" and "Newt Scamander" are hidden anagrams in the post, the latter being the main character in the film and the former, its location.
"Newt Scamander's History of New York Fauna: One town, my tale" Warmer.
