German eBay user der.juli has literally cut all his possessions in half to spite his ex-wife of 12 years.
The man, whom Metro UK named as Martin, told the British website that his wife left him after 12 years of marriage.
"I was really angry, socut up everything and sent her half. I put the rest on eBay as a joke and a message for Laura. Now it's everywhere on the internet, it's crazy," he said.
Martin posted a video of the extreme project to YouTube - titled "For Laura" - where he is seen sawing, slicing and perfectly grinding shared items including a Samsung flat screen TV, a teddy bear, a REM record, bed and a green Opel car.
"Thank you for 12 'beautiful' years Laura !!!!! you've really earned half," he wrote in the caption.
The clip ends with the sarcastic sign-off: "Greetings to my successor".
Most of the halved items were listed on eBay for €1, or about NZ$1.60.
Only six pieces remained for sale on eBay at the time of writing, including half of an Apple iPhone 5, so far fetching NZ$123, a mailbox which has reached NZ$65 and half of a motorcycle helmet for $56.
