From Scream to Dawson's Creek, from The Matrix to The Sixth Sense, from The Blair Witch Project to American Pie ... the Wayans Brothers have stolen from all those sources and more to produce what they call a raucous,
satirical attack on teenage horror movies and, in particular, Kevin Williamson, master of what critics call the "self-aware slasher genre." Or is that a sub-genre?
Except that director Keenan Ivory Wayans, co-writers Shawn and Marlon Wayans and the several other starring and contributing Wayans don't seem to realise that was what Mr Williamson was doing with his own Scream movies. Talk about not knowing what he did last summer ...
Well, it's too often homophobic, often puerile but occasionally funny. If you're up with the current teenage horror franchises, that is.
