After Dumb And Dumber and There's Something About Mary, film-making brothers Peter and Bobby Farrelly probably felt they could do no wrong at the box-office. This coming-of-age movie set in the 70s is about a working-class kid (Shawn Hatosy) who gets into trouble and then, because his dad (Alec Baldwin) has a friend in the Mob who knows a judge, gets sent to a private academy for his last year of high school.

The fish-out-of-water is soon dating the most popular girl in school, getting into and out of trouble and learning lessons about life. One of which might be: the Farrelly brothers can do some wrong at the box-office, and this is it.
