It's show time in Hastings

The Hawkes Bay Showgrounds in Hastings will be abuzz with activity during the Hawkes Bay Show from Wednesday, October 18 to Friday, October 20. There'll be trade stalls, show-jumping, competitions for sheep, alpacas and cattle, as well as a petting zoo, where kids can get friendly with some cute farm animals.

Plenty of food and free entertainment will be on offer, plus a large range of sideshows.

The show runs 8am-5pm and costs $25 (family), $12 (adult), $6 (child/senior).
