It's been an up-and-down year for Kendall Jenner, but things are certainly looking up.

Kendall, who boasts more than 83 million followers on her Instagram account, will be feted with the illustrious honours on September 8 at the Four Seasons Hotel Downtown.
The high-profile award show will be hosted by supermodel Ashley Graham and feature some of the industry's most-noted movers-and-shakers.

Following the announcement honouring the 5ft10 catwalk star, whose parents are Caitlyn and Kris Jenner, there was some skepticism about the selection, with many Twitter users posted memes illustrating their shock and disagreement.
One user was critical of Kendall's modeling prowess and catalog, writing, "Girl poses with the same old boring face, didn't even do 10 diverse photo shoots & y'all giving her 'Fashion Icon Of The decade' .... Tragic."
Another user questioned the timing of the award, writing: "decade???? she was 11 a decade ago??? have you SEEN what the kardashians were wearing 10 years ago???"
