Is Harry set to propose? Prince whisks girlfriend Meghan Markle on romantic African holiday for her 36th birthday

Prince Harry could be ready to propose to girlfriend Meghan Markle, as he whisks her away on a romantic holiday to mark her 36th birthday, the Daily Mail reports.

The loved-up pair were spotted boarding an aeroplane as they set off for an African adventure, and the romantic location has set the rumour mill on fire.

They looked casual as they strolled across the runway to jump onto the jet, with Harry in a checked shirt and cap, and Meghan in tight jeans and sandals.

She was pictured clutching a present from her boyfriend, that appeared to be a large frame in bubble wrap.

A royal source told the Sun: "Harry has been planning this holiday for a long time.

"Who knows what will happen when they're watching a sensational African sunset together? Maybe he'll get down on one knee.

"Harry's done a lot of conservation work in Africa with endangered el­e­phants and black rhinos and he'll show them to the woman he wants to marry."

After wrapping filming for Suits, Meghan flew to London, where the pair then went onto southern Africa for their adventure.

They were spotted kissing on the tarmac before continuing their journey.

Harry and Meghan are said to be very serious, having dated for more than a year.

The prince, 32, took Chelsy Davy to South Africa with him on a number on holidays before they split.
