Standing on two feet
A new website has launched, selling shoes for women with petite feet. Christchurch's Nicky Harding created the site after growing frustration that she couldn't find stylish shoes locally that fit her own tiny feet. Recently returned from living in Britain, Nicky has launched Indigo River, which imports smaller-sized quality footwear from Spain and Italy. Visit the site at www.indigoriver.co.nz.
Skechers' new face
Skechers are going local with their newest celebrity face, Home & Away's Jessica Tovey. Tovey (who plays Belle on the Australian soap) is the first non-American face to feature in the brand's ad campaigns, which have, in the past, featured the likes of Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Ashlee Simpson.
Deadly precious
Deadly Ponies have launched a range of fine jewellery, called Deadly Ponies Precious. The jewellery joins their main line range of handmade bags, and will feature items made from solid gold, silver and carved bone. The first pieces from the range, including this skull bone necklace, are being put up for auction at Webbs auction house, and viewing starts today, with the auction itself next Wednesday. Loving yourself
Today is Love Your Body Day, and to celebrate, the Eating Difficulties Education Network (EDEN) have made a range of special T-shirts. There are seven designs available, on sale for $34.90, with proceeds going towards health promotion and support services for eating difficulties. After garnering lots of attention with her raunchy show at Air NZ Fashion Week just a few weeks ago - Lucie Boshier is, surprisingly, shutting up her Nuffield Street store. The reason? Happy birthday
Kingsland store Royal Jewellery Studio is celebrating 10 years of making and selling in the area with an exhibition of work by local jewellers. Called 10 Years Making, the exhibition features work from Anna Wallis, Benjamin Flynn, Jane Dodd, Lisa West and Penelope Barnhill, all of whom took part in the store's first opening show. The exhibition runs until 6 November at Royal Jewellery Studio, 486 New North Road, Kingsland.
