Meryl Streep is looking to turn a handsome profit on her luxury penthouse she's just listed for sale in one of New York City's most sought after neighbourhoods.
The Oscar-winning actress, 69, has slapped an eye-watering price tag of $36 million for the four-bedroom Manhattan pad, which she purchased for$15 million back in 2006.

Her 3,944-square-foot abode is located in the River Lofts building in TriBeCa and boasts panoramic views of the bustling city, among a host of other luxury fixtures and fittings, reports the Daily Mail.
The penthouse offers four-and-a-half bathrooms, a modern kitchen and plenty of living space. It's accessed via a private elevator and the building has a doorman, concierge, fitness centre and parking garage.
There's also an outdoor terrace on three sides of the condo. The kitchen features top-of-the-range stainless steel appliances and a butcher's block island.

The living and dining rooms are surrounded by walls of triple glazed windows and there's a wood-burning fireplace. Hardwood floors run throughout the apartment.
The master suite has two baths, two dressing areas and a sitting area and offers views of the Hudson River.
Meryl and her sculptor husband Don Gummer's primary residence is a 90-acre estate in Connecticut and they also purchased a home for $3.6 million late in 2017 in the foothills of Pasadena, California.
As well as maintaining homes that are aesthetically pleasing, Meryl has admitted that she likes to keep things spiritually sound around her abode.

In December, the actress revealed that she hired an exorcist to banish any possible evil spirits from her director pal Steven Spielberg's home, when they worked together on the 2001 movie A.I. Artificial Intelligence.
"Most of the time we talked about how his property was haunted and did I know anybody who did exorcisms," she told the Hollywood Reporter. "And of course, I did. I got him a priest."
