Now Gavin brings us a new collection of Maori myths which he has both written and illustrated with younger
children in mind.
The four myths he has chosen to retell include the two best-known stories about Maui and his struggles, first with the sun, and then with the big fish. The other stories are about Rona's argument with the moon, and Kahu's battle with the taniwha.
