Apparently, not all curls are created equal but the Fresh Curls range's elasta-shield complex can take on curls of all makes and models. Frizz-controlled definition is what curly-heads are after and that's exactly what this conditioner encourages with its coconut oil, protein and elastic polymers. Good stuff.

3. Sebastian 2+1 Conditioning Treatment $43.20 for 150ml
Two-parts moisture to one-part protein equals healthy, conditioned hair. It couldn't be simpler for normal to dry hair. Leave this on for 3-5 minutes once or twice a week and hair really does yield.

4. Wella System Professional Repair Cream 30 Sec $28.80 for 150ml
In 30 seconds, this rinse-out treatment must be like a Swat team for hair. It gets proteins to look after the cuticle, glycine inside the hair and wheatgerm oil around the shaft to protect. In and out. Job done. No questions asked.

5. Joico K-Pak Reconstruct $27 for 150ml
This has been around for ages, so in hair product terms, that qualifies this deep penetrating reconstructor as a classic. Joico's well-known for its use of hydrolised human hair protein and this makes use of that. The small size of the protein means it effectively penetrates the cuticle to deliver a shot of 19 amino acids where it's needed. Ideally suited for damaged hair.
