How a model lost 70,000 followers with a single Instagram post

When this Instagram fitness model started to promote body positivity on her page, she probably didn't realise a lot of her followers wouldn't be a fan of it.

After posting a photo encouraging everyone to "f**k fitspo" and telling them she'd no longer be sharing bikini photos, Sophie Gray saw her followers drop from 430,000 to 360,000.

Despite the drop, Sophie has stuck to her new approach and admitted she's much happier now.

Speaking to The Daily Mail, Sophie said her Instagram account consumed her life.

"I was constantly worrying about my body image because my "worth" through this channel depended on it.

"I was the one behind the account for three years. I saw what images performed better. I saw what people wanted to see - fitter, thinner, more defined and perfect," she added.
