Here's what ghd actually stands for

People on Twitter were surprised to realise what the ghd - the popular brand of hair straighteners - stands for.

The brand's official Instagram page this week posted a screenshot of a tweet revealing that ghd stands for "good hair day".

Twitter user @chelseajxde came to that conclusion and wondered whether she was the only one who had no clue about this.

The tweet quickly went viral, receiving more than 7000 retweets.

The brand called it their "favourite tweet from last year" and the response on Instagram showed the Twitter user was definitely not alone with hundreds of people saying they also had no idea.
