The images, compiled by BoredPanda, show how the dogs suffered in their past, with heart-wrenching before shots revealing matted fur and emaciated frames, reports Daily Mail.

Happily, they are in stark contrast to the after shots of the thriving pooches, which capture their bright eyes, shiny coats and boundless energy.

They show how, with the benefit of care and a loving family, the pooches were able to bounce back to being happy, healthy dogs.
