Unlike State and Main, there's nothing subtle about this raucous, ribald comedy starring Sigourney Weaver and Jennifer Love Hewitt (pictured below) as Max and Page, a mother-daughter con team. Max marries a rich guy and surprises him in a compromising position with Page,
after which there's a big divorce settlement. The latest victim, Dean (Ray Liotta), makes it 13th time lucky.
Enter No 14: Gene Hackman as William B. Tensy, a vile chain-smoking tobacco zillionaire from Florida. But while Max is smoking out the disgusting Tensy, Page is busy developing her own relationship with bar-owner Jack (Jason Lee).
Good for a holiday laugh.
