Harry Potter star signs on for Aussie film

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has signed on to play an orphan in a new Australian film, December Boys.

The film, due to start shooting in South Australia in November, is a coming-of-age story about a group of four adolescent orphans competing to be adopted by a childless couple.

The film will be directed by Rod Hardy, whose credits include TV hits The X Files and The Practice.
