Groom's lip-synching tribute to bride

It's half funny and half painfully awkward, but for the bride at least, her groom's musical vows were a hit.

In a new video which emerged on YouTube three days ago, a man eschews traditional vows in favour of an epic five-minute lip-syncing mash-up consisting of the Greece theme tune, Whitney Houston's "I will always love you" and Ed Sheeran's "Thinking out loud."

The American man, known only as Jared, introduces his performance by saying: "I know that I struggle sometimes with showing my emotions...and because of that I vow to try and express how I feel to you in the most creative and ludicrous ways."

After Jared's introduction, the slightly nervous-looking groom inexplicably dons a pair of black sunglasses and begins his lip-syncing medley.

First up is the 1978 classic theme tune to Grease, during which Jared mouths the immortal "you're the one that I want" lyrics.

His bride Kyndra, who is wearing a white strapless gown with an embellished waistband teamed with a gentle veil, is seen laughing throughout the performance.

At this point, Jared's groomsmen don clear glasses and join in with the lip-syncing too.

Jared then borrows words from the early 90s song "I swear", by All-4-One, before descending into Ed Sheeran's ballad "Thinking out loud".

"People fall in love in mysterious ways," he croons as Kyndra giggles and turns to the congregation.

Jared's one-man show hits a crescendo with Whitney Houston's 'I will always love you', as the assembled guests break into a roaring cheer.

Once over, he leans towards his wife-to-be and mumbles: "Also sometimes I will do the dishes."

The female officiator draws a long pause before concluding: "Wow, that was a ten. I want to get married again."

The video, uploaded by production house Lucid Aerials, has scored more than 55,000 views in three days.
