Keeping the little ones occupied when school's out can feel like an impossible task. Try one - or some - of these for some inspiration.
1. Water babies
The Madloop Windsurf School is offering an eight-hour course of windsurfing, stand-up paddling or catamaran sailing over four days. Forall ages - kids to adult. October 11-14 and October 18-21, $185. Ph 021 958 812 to book visit the website above.
2. Cave dwellers
Cave Kids is Waitomo Caves' three-hour interactive programme for children aged between 5 and 12 years, with two tours per day - 10.30am and 1.30pm. Kids can explore, investigate and play for $26 each. Adult and family passes also available.
The YMCA runs extensive school holiday programs Auckland-wide. Activities range from nature trails, cooking lessons and swimming to movies, art and sport. To see what's on offer at your local branch.
