Watch the yachts with a basket full of goodies from one of these great delis around town.
1. Zarbo
You don't even have to think through a menu as the Zarbo team can put lunchboxes and hampers together for you, from $20 per person (complete with cutlery and napkins). But you probably need to pick up extra crusty bread and pastries, just in case.

2. Pyrenees
Rely on this French phenomenon in locations around Auckland for the most exciting array of charcuterie including terrines, pates, rillettes, the best Serrano ham, more than 25 cheeses from France, and crusty breads from the boulangerie. Toss in a tart and a jar or two of deli goods and you're good to go.
3. Nosh
With shops all over Auckland, Nosh not only has a terrific array of cheeses, charcuterie and breads but also well-priced fresh fruit and veges, so you can build up a delicious hamper in one shop. You might need to add chocolates and a chilled bottle of something.
4. Farro Fresh
Fill pottles from the deli counter, a loaf or two of crusty bread, jars of chutney and mustards and a basket of fresh fruits. Summer alfresco dining doesn't get any better.
