Foodstuffs is launching its own cross-brand rewards programme, expanding the New World Clubcard to give Pak’nSave and Four Square customers an alternative to Woolworths’ own Everyday Rewards.
Called Club+, shoppers will be able to use the programme in all three stores from June 15, marking the first shared use ofa rewards system across the legally separate North and South Island co-operatives.
The New World Clubcard system will be phased out and officially close on July 26, with existing members’ balances, shopping history and preferences held for up to 24 months and transferred when they register to the new Club+ system.
The new programme would streamline its rewards and savings schemes across brands and help them keep up with evolving technology and retail trends, Foodstuffs New Zealand’s acting chief customer officer Brendon Lawry said.
“We know more than three quarters of customers regularly shop at more than one supermarket,” he said.
“It’s about making it simpler for customers to access relevant savings and benefits through one card, while also creating a more personalised experience over time.”

While New World Dollars will be renamed to Club+ Dollars, their worth remains equal to $1 and members can continue converting them to Airpoints if desired.
New World and Four Square customers will be able to earn Club+ Dollars on qualifying purchases at respective rates of 0.75% and 0.38%.
Pak’nSave customers won’t earn anything from their purchases but can still use Club+ Dollars earned elsewhere to pay for groceries.
Foodstuffs introduced the free New World Clubcard programme to South Island shoppers in 2014 before bringing it north two years later, giving members access to exclusive “Club Deals”, fuel discounts and rewards when scanned in-store.
“Club+ is even better with greater flexibility because it can be used across New World, Pak’nSave and Four Square,” Lawry said.
“We’d encourage customers to join early so they’re ready to start scanning and saving from launch day.”

The Club+ announcement appears to be Foodstuffs’ answer to competing against Woolworths’ orange-themed Everyday Rewards programme, introduced in 2024 amid its $400 million rebrand away from Countdown.
Similarly, Everyday Rewards members earn one point from every $1 spent in Woolworths and Fresh Choice stores, with 2000 points amounting to a $15 reward that can be spent on groceries, fuel, pet supplies and more from associated partners.
It replaced the 20-year-old Onecard, which gave shoppers e-points and access to reduced prices alongside cents-off fuel discounts through the now-defunct AA Smartfuel programme.
