Food on show

The Auckland Food Show is open to the public from August 4 to 6, but if you want to be part of the exclusive preview day on August 3, be quick as spaces are limited. The day gives food and wine enthusiasts a chance to sample products, talk to exhibitors and see cooking demonstrations without the crowds. It costs $30 and runs from noon to 6pm. On regular days, tickets are $20 adults, $17 seniors and under-12, under-5 free. It's at the ASB Showgrounds and open from 10am to 6pm daily.
