When it comes to a grazing platter, cheese and antipasto spreads tend to do the trick.
But now party hosts are taking things up a notch and offering guests baked potato party platters, complete with an array of tasty sides.

A creative food blogger from the US recently shared snaps of her jacket potato platter to Facebook and the post has since gone viral.
"A delicious EPIC BAKED POTATO DINNER BOARD with all your favourite toppings, perfect for a FRIDAY NIGHT or game day party!" she captioned her post.
"Serve a hot bowl of chilli in the centre, and let everyone make their own potato!!"
Sandy's clever idea involves first baking potatoes with their skin on and placing these around a selection of toppings.
The toppings may include grated cheese, pieces of bacon, sour cream, avocado, fresh tomato salsa and spring onions.
For a Mexican-themed platter, Sandy recommends building the platter around a large bowl of fresh mince or bean chilli.
Fans of the Reluctant Entertainer have since taken to the Facebook page in their droves with the post garnering more than 2,500 reactions and over 1,800 comments.
"This is such a great idea, I'm doing it this weekend," one person said.
"Love this and can't wait to try it. Just need a platter this big!" said another.
While many were wowed, a few said the dish wouldn't work if the main elements, namely the spuds, were served cold.
Sandy advised commenters to keep everything warm in the oven, including sides, until guests were ready to eat.
It seems the party platter trend is well and truly in the throes of being made over, especially after one clever cook shared how she created a pavlova platter.
Canberra-based baker, Shalini Nestor, the founder of Swish Biscuits, set the internet on fire late last year after she revealed her version of a DIY dessert bar.
"We had an early family Christmas today and I had to share my dessert idea!" the baker wrote on her Facebook page.
"A pavlova grazing board! Little jars filled with passionfruit, nutella, homemade raspberry sauce, salted caramel and lemon curd.
"Lots of fruit, coconut, chocolate and fresh mint! Everyone gets to make their own custom pavs just the way they like it."
