There are loads of wonderful things about France, but the country's cuisine has to be right up there. Luckily, we have these great French spots right here in Auckland.

1. Pastis Restaurant

A trusty and authentic spot for great crepes and bistro meals. Open Monday-Saturday for lunch, dinner and drinks.

2. The French Cafe

This Auckland institution isn't cheap, but you can't go past it for a French treat - classic cuisine with a twist. Open for dinner Tuesday-Saturday.

3. Phillippe's Chocolate & French Pastries

For little pieces of edible heaven, throw the diet out the window and head here.

4. C'est Fromage
5 Maskell St, St Heliers and 5 McColl St, Newmarket.

Because no one one does cheese quite like the French. Stock up, take home, and have a little scoff.
