Mr Morgan-Baines, an IT analyst from Newport, South Wales, was known by his friends as "Drizzy" and was described as an "extreme loving, family man".
His father, Roy Baines, 40, said that his son had a special relationship with his girlfriend, Megan Whitehead, 18.
He said: "Drake had a short stay in earth, but he had a very happy life. He had all the love in the world and had a beautiful girlfriend with whom he had a special relationship."
Mr Morgan-Baines is believed to have taken a "Tesla" ecstasy pill - which have been marked as potentially lethal.
He slipped into cardiac arrest after taking the pill in Motion nightclub in Bristol, and suffered from a brain seizure on November 5.
More than 100 people turned up outside the family home to set off fireworks in tribute to the teenager the day after he died.
His mother added: "We knew he was a very special boy - but this confirms that everybody else knew that as well."
A spokeswoman for the club said: 'We are deeply saddened to hear of the death and extend our deepest sympathy to his friends and family at this sad time.
