Facebook can help through your breakup

Is there anything worse than seeing your ex pop-up on your news feed pictured with a bunch of babes at a cool looking party you weren't invited to?

While you were at home playing Metal Gear Solid.

Drinking a bottle of wine.

By yourself.

Well put those Dinosaur Jr. records away, because Facebook can help! They are rolling out a new feature which allows users to see less of their ex.

A post on their press site titled "Improving the Experience When Relationships End" states:

"Starting today, we are testing tools to help people manage how they interact with their former partners on Facebook after a relationship has ended."

The new feature will prompt users when they change their relationship status. They can then make a series of choices to have their ex hidden from their timeline, edit posts you've been tagged in together, and have them see less of you.

Best of all, it won't notify anyone that you've done it.

So rest easy with your post-break up loneliness, your ex is probably doing great while you drunkenly try to finish that one Metal Gear mission to get Quiet on your team.

But you don't need to know that.
