Auckland kitchen designer Morgan Cronin wowed international judges when he showed his latest work in Britain in January.
Cronin beat entrants from Australia, the United States and European countries to take the International Kitchen Designer title with his subtle blonde American ash and white Corian benchtop kitchen design for a
Coromandel beach house.
Last year, Cronin won Kitchen Designer of the Year and Bathroom Designer of the Year in the annual New Zealand Kitchen and Bathroom Association awards. As part of his prize he was sent to the British competition.
In 2001 and 2003 Cronin was named Kitchen Designer of the Year in the Home Ideas Kitchen Design Awards.
"It was great to have my work recognised against other top international designers," he says. "Winning these kinds of awards gives my clients more confidence in my ability. They are open to my ideas and that makes the job even more fun."
