Q: Why should we see your show?
A: It's a cheeky little story about how I got to know a confidence trickster when I was only 17. We travelled down the east coast of Australia together, swindling people in pool halls and pubs. I expose a hidden world and will
teach you a thing or two about how ridiculously gullible people are.
Q: What makes you laugh out loud?
A: Nitrous oxide at the dentist.
Q: What's the worst line you've ever delivered?
A: To a distracted audience member in the front row who kept looking at the ceiling: "What are you looking at? I'm down here! Are you blind!?" She was blind.
Q: What keeps you awake at night?
A: When I've happened to make fun of blind people unintentionally.
Q: What were you like as a child?
A: I ran away from home twice. But since I wasn't allowed to cross the road, I would always end up just going around the block until I was in front of my house again. Then mum would smile and bring me back inside. According to mum, both times I carried a little lunch box with only a pair of underpants inside.
Q: When were you last embarrassed and why?
A: A lady friend saw my show at the Melbourne festival and met me in the foyer. Instead of saying, "Thanks so much for coming to my show", I made the Freudian mistake of saying, "Thanks for coming so much in my show". It was awkward. I blushed. And I had no room to backpeddle.
Q: Without looking it up, give us a scientific explanation of laughter.
A: 2 x monkey + tandem bicycle + car wash = laughter.
Q: If you weren't a comedian you would be ... ?
A: A frisbee. I could still make people and dogs happy.
