Clarins has ways of making you relax. This is designed to be added to a running bath or on a sponge in the shower. The idea is to relieve stress and fatigue with basil, chamomile, St Johns wort and valerian. Excellent cleaning and softening action too, but it's really the aromatherapy ingredients are the benefit.

Estee Lauder Pleasures Exotic Bath and Shower Gel

The scent alone is capable of bringing on escapist fantasies about exotic places - with a combination of the fabulous fragrances of mango, passion fruit, green leaves, lemongrass, citrus, lychee, peony, island bamboo flower, bougainvillea, hibiscus, sandalwood and amber. It does a gentle cleansing job as well and can create a bubble bath if it's poured under running water.

The bottle looks like the sort of thing witches stash their eye of newt in. Instead, Innoxa filled it with damask rose, patchouli and vanilla-infused bath oil. The wording on the label promises great things: "She was awash with passion not for any particular individual but for all things great and small and for everything that was about to happen." I was happy enough with a good soak.

This fragrant exfoliant is inspired by the traditional Moroccan spice, ras el hanout. And its ingredient list reads like a recipe book: black pepper, nutmeg, sandalwood, ginger, dill, paprika, clove, nutmeg, cinnamon, cardamom, cumin, coriander, patchouli, saffron, sandalwood and vanilla.

It foams up, exfoliating skin with walnut and coconut shell, and smells fantastic, like you've just stepped out of a Moroccan bazaar.
