Duchess of Cambridge poses for Vogue

The National Portrait Gallery in London has collaborated with Vogue magazine on a series of images of the Duchess of Cambridge.

The Duchess will also appear on the cover of the magazine's June issue.

Kensington Palace have revealed some of the images on Twitter this morning.

"HRH was delighted to celebrate 100 years of @BritishVogue - a leading champion of British portraiture since 1916," one tweet said.

The images of the Duchess were shot by British photographer Josh Olins in the Norfolk countryside.

A spokesperson for the mother-of-two said British Vogue had "given a platform to some of the most renowned photographers in this country's history".

"The Duchess is incredibly grateful to the team at @BritishVogue and @NPGLondon for asking her to take part."

Two portraits from the shoot were installed at the National Portrait Gallery, and the Duchess will visit the exhibition on May 4 to see the images in person.

One, in colour, depicts her leaning on a wooden fence and another in black and white is a close up, showcasing her natural beauty.

The full portfolio of eight photographs, including the cover, will appear in the centenary June 2016 issue of British Vogue.
