Everybody's favourite nice guy, John Travolta, plays Frank Morrison, boat-builder and nice guy. He's so nice he's happy that his ex-wife, Susan (Teri Polo), is getting married again. Frank's son, Danny (Matthew O'Leary), is upset about this, so the nice guy takes his
son and his stepdad-to-be on a fishing trip.
The stepdad-to-be is Rick Barnes (Vince Vaughn), very rich and new in town. When his old buddy Ray (Steve Buscemi) turns up at the wedding without an invitation, it's clear that Rick has a past, that there has been bad blood and there is going to be more. It will be very bloody as nice turns to nasty, but you'll have forgotten all about it half an hour after the credits.
