Perhaps it was the figure-skimming black dress. Or maybe the lighting was particularly flattering.
Whatever Kate Winslet's secret, the 39-year-old actress oozed polished glamour when she appeared on the red carpet this week.
Yet somehow she just didn't look herself. In fact her transformation for the New York premiere of
her latest film A Little Chaos has raised quite a few eyebrows.
Indeed the controversy centred on her particularly arched right eyebrow and flawless complexion, which some say is a sign of Botox treatment - something Miss Winslet has always denied having.
Yet when she appeared in public last autumn - just nine months after giving birth to her third child - her face and figure was fuller.
